SAMSUNG ‘MUVIKA’ 4G LTE LAUNCHED IN ARUSHA
Arusha, 29 May 2015. Electronic giant Samsung has continued with efforts of maintaining its leadership position with the launch of its exciting 4G LTE enabled mobile phone range that has been dubbed ‘Muvika’. The launch which is the first of its kind in the country for mobile devices of such capability took place at Bay Leaf Hotel in Arusha. As well as introducing the range to the public the occasion also acted as a platform for the management of the mobile manufacturers to meet up with the local business partners, dealers and various other notable stakeholders.
The Arusha mobile phone market is one that the company sees as having a lot of potential and was a key factor behind the choice to launch their latest 4G LTE handsets over the traditional safe haven of Dar es Salaam. With industry booming around the region and sectors such as tourism and mining aiding in the economic development many companies such as Samsung are moving quick to ensure their services/products are not far from their esteemed customers reach.
The low key launch was conducted in front of invited guests from the region with glitz added through live performances by chart topper and Samsung Electronics Tanzania brand ambassador Vanessa Mdee.
Speaking during the launch ceremony the Managing Director of Samsung Electronics Tanzania Mr Hyeongjun Seo, spoke of the good relation that the company has with the people of Arusha and the importance of maintaining quality service and products that is synonymous with the brand. He stated “Arusha is a key business region and we are not only looking at continuously providing quality experience to our customers but also providing them with the latest products and innovations in line with the international market.”
The comments of the Managing Director were echoed by Sylvester Manyara, Country Manager Retail Mobile division saying “today we launch this new technology in the presence of our key dealers and distributors, we have chosen Arusha as it represents the continued growth that is part of Samsung culture.
‘Muvika’ is a slang word that plays on the ability of the mobile device and fast connectivity that comes with 4G LTE enabling individuals to load even movies at breath taking speeds. 4G LTE (Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution) is the latest mobile connectivity technology that is taking the world by storm. With a growing demand for smartphones comes the need for fast and effective connectivity. The introduction of smartphones with such capabilities Samsung Electronics Tanzania are ensuring that the needs and wants of their customers are met.
Having been named as the Tanzanian brand ambassador for Samsung products Ms Vanessa Mdee will act as the official face for the series of handsets that will be released under the Muvika umbrella. Commenting on her role Vanessa said “this is another great chapter we are establishing with Samsung since we started our journey together and as a native of Arusha I am delighted to have the opportunity to be at the forefront of the technological change that Samsung is establishing
